Equestrian Village Unveils Upgraded Footing in Van Kampen Arena for ESP Annual Spring Series

March 19. 2024

Wellington, FL – March 19, 2024 – Equestrian Village is thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to the Van Kampen Arena, set to premiere during the Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) Annual Spring Series. This upgrade, made possible by the generous support of Wellington Lifestyle Partners (WLP), involves the blending of new, state-of-the-art footing, ensuring a competitive experience for athletes and horses alike.

The upgraded footing in the covered Van Kampen Arena aligns with the quality found in the December 2023 upgrades to the Global Dressage Festival International stadium, National ring and schooling areas. Thanks to the expert grading, leveling, and blending of top-tier materials by JTWG, Inc. this improvement is set to significantly enhance performance, safety, and enjoyment for all participants throughout the 2024 Spring, Summer and Fall series.

David Burton, COO of Equestrian Sport Productions, expressed his excitement about the upgrade: “We’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback on the improvement to the International, National, and Schooling rings at Equestrian Village. The addition of JTWG, Inc. footing to the Van Kampen Covered Area for the ESP Annual Series Circuit is a development we’re very much looking forward to.”

In conjunction with the facility upgrade, the ESP Spring Circuit continues to intertwine competitive equestrian sport with philanthropic efforts. The ESP A-T Charity Spring I Horse Show is a highlight of the circuit, raising funds for the A-T Children's Project in pursuit of treatments for ataxia-telangiectasia. This combination of competition and charity underscores the community's dedication to making a meaningful impact.

Furthermore, the Spring Circuit builds on the success of the Winter Equestrian Festival, offering competitors a chance to participate at a discounted rate while maintaining the competitive atmosphere and point system. The series also includes two weeks of high-level FEI 3* competition, hunter events, pony derbies and the Spring Equitation Championship sponsored by Arion Sellier, spotlighting junior riders' skills and style. Global Pavillion tickets can be purchased by filling out this form and emailing the document to Kathleen LaMour at klamour@wellingtoninternational.com

As Equestrian Sport Productions gears up for a season filled with unforgettable moments of sportsmanship and solidarity, the equestrian community looks forward to celebrating excellence and supporting meaningful causes.
