Wellington International FAQs

Bring the whole family! Kids will enjoy walking the grounds and seeing hundreds of beautiful horses up close. Wellington International is the perfect place to begin your love affair with the equestrian sport! Our Saturday Night Lights events are also great for children and feature activities such as face painting, circus performers, dance contests, t-shirt tosses, petting zoos, pony rides, free riders on the Venetian carousel and lively music!

During the day, our visitors can enjoy dozens of food options, like our coffee vendors for breakfast and the Tiki Hut for lunch and dinner (during horse show competitions). Check out our food vendors here

Please note: We do not allow outside food or beverages during Saturday Night Lights. 

There are more than 40 weeks of horse shows at Wellington International. The Winter Equestrian Festival takes place for 13 weeks and the ESP Annual Series runs for 28 weeks. 

Wellington International spans more than 111 acres. 

There are 18 competition arenas. 

There are over 561 permanent stalls at Wellington International. 

The Global Equestrian Group purchased Wellington International in 2021. 

You can visit Wellington International from October until April and view equestrian competitions Wednesday through Sunday from roughly 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The competition moves to Equestrian Village (right across the street) from May through August.  

The Great Charity Challenge is a charity event organized by Wellington International. The event has been running for over 13 years and has distributed over $19.4 million to 300 local Palm Beach County non-profit organizations.

Wellington International offers international hunter/jumper competitions and the National Polo Center offers polo competitions. Separate operating companies own each facility.

Winter Equestrian Festival FAQs

The 2024 Winter Equestrian Festival will run from January 3 through March 31.

Yes! We have more than 90 vendors during the Winter Equestrian Festival that offer clothing, jewelry, art and home goods. Vendors are around the International Arena and in our Vendor Village behind the Oasis Cafe. Stop by the Wellington International Shop across from the Tiki Hut to pick up WEF-branded apparel. 

WEF awards more than $15 million in prize money each year. 

Each year, approximately 34 countries are represented in FEI competition at WEF. 

We host an average of 2,600 horses each week in competition at WEF. 

We have more than 34,000 horse entries during the WEF season. 

The Winter Equestrian Festival contributes more than $350 million to the local Palm Beach County economy over the 13-week season.
